The Comics Epidemic, an anthology of 43 narratives made by Dharavi residents was launched, at the hands of advertising guru Gopi Kukde. Kukde is a veteran of the Indian advertising industry famous for the Onida Devil. The project, overseen by artist Chaitanya Modak of publishing label Won-Tolla, touched upon topics like depression, teenage suicide, education, puberty, and and relationships. The event also featured photography stills by Dharavi youngsters, and a live art session with local sign painters.
